First Generation Honors College Scholarship

The First Generation Honors College Scholarship is open to all eligible Honors College students; both current and new. Students must be either an entering or current Honors College student in good standing (minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA) with demonstrated need. The student must have a history of outstanding academic performance, and provide evidence of motivation, character, and potential in their personal statements. The student must also be a Florida resident who has completed their FAFSA; must be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. lawful permanent resident. The award funding varies and if funding permits that year.

Students must show in their FAFSA proof of first generation status. A first generation student is one whose parents (both) did not complete a baccalaureate degree in accordance to Florida statutes. First generation applicants must also be pell eligible to receive this award.
