FIU Online Distance Learning Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Majors: applicants must be enrolled at FIU as an undergraduate, degree-seeking student with a fully online declared major taking a minimum of 2, 3 credit courses each semester (fall, spring)
- Part Time Status: student must take a minimum of 2 classes and 6 credits in the Fall or Spring (A,B, and C terms combined)
- GPA: applicants must have a cumulative gpa of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at FIU
Submission Instructions
- Written Essay: Applicants must submit a written 1 page essay that includes ALL of the following: (1) detailed explanation of why you are pursuing your degree online, (2) role of education in your life, (3) current FIU Online experience, (4) motivational factors that keep you persisting, and (5) how scholarship will benefit you and your goals.
You are free to include additional information at your discretion. (Optional) - Resume: Including educational background, work experience, certifications/professional licenses
- Personal Statement: one page bio

Students are responsible for understanding their institution’s policies regarding AI usage and must avoid any form of plagiarism or misrepresentation in their submissions.
