Quirch Foods First Generation Scholarship
The Quirch Foods First Generation Scholarship supports undergraduate students in the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and a passion for the food and beverage industry. Scholarship recipients will receive awards for one academic year (Fall/Spring) and will be recognized as Quirch Foods Scholars. Scholars will have the opportunity to renew the award pending a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0. Scholars will also have the opportunity to attend F&B industry conferences and work on innovation projects for Quirch Foods. Quirch Foods representatives may have the opportunity to mentor Quirch Foods Scholars through customized engagement that could include a mentoring program, industry exposure and internships. The award funding varies and if funding permits that year.
Eligibility:
a. Recipients must be the first generation in their family to attain a college degree (students whose siblings have attained or are pursuing a degree are eligible)
b. Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
c. Recipients must be residents of the state of Florida; Be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. lawful permanent resident
d. Recipients must be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours per semester
e. Recipients must demonstrate financial need by completing the national Free Application for Federal Student Aid and be eligible for a Pell Grant
